Irregular Periods, Bleeding On Intercourse. Negative Pregnancy Test Reports. What Else Could Be Wrong?

I have irregular period so I was on the pill for about 6 months. I got off the pill on September and the period is irregular again but now this time is gotten worse. I haven t had my period for over 2 months and 2 days ago I was intimate and the condom had blood on it as if it came from inside but I had no blood on me. I had a few spots after that but no blood since then. I have taken 2 pregnancy tests at different times and they are both negative. The most recent one was last Monday... What is wrong? Please help?

Hi,
Thanks for the query.
After stopping the pills it will take sometime for regularization of the cycles.
As both your pregnancy tests are negative the possibility of pregnancy is less.
You better consult gynecologist and go for physical examination to rule out possibilities like cervical erosion, polyp etc.
You may need one ultrasound to find out any abnormality like poly cystic ovary disease which is leading irregular periods.

Take care.

Hi,

Based on the information provided it seems more like "PCOS"

POLY-CYSTIC-OVARIAN-SYNDROME = " multiple , fluid filled cavities in ovary"

NOW FOR simple understanding is not medically accurate just for understanding purpose ONLY.
Main function of ovary is to produce the female sex hormone like estrogen / progesterone which comes out in a cyclic fashion like 25 days comes estrogen while for 5 days comes progesterone which cause bleeding. This is maintained by brain but the days varies for all females. now due to the PCOS the production of estrogen and progesterone gets disturbed/ may not have enough production on one or the other leading to imbalances and hence makes irregular bleeds as well as problems with pregnancies are seen

ADVICE:
1) PLEASE SEE gynac
2) Get an PELVIC ULTRASOUND and check on ovary again
3) Get hormonal profile to have a check on "PCOS" and the hormones in brain that commands the cyclic pattern of the menstrual cycle
4) mostly they will prescribe the ORAL CONTRACEPTIVE PILL to make the normal cycle go through if things in the brain hormonal balance is stable.
5) Please follow up regularly and take medication as they prescribe to get back on track.
