Irregular Periods, Yeast Smelling Discharge, Brownish Discharge From Clitoris. No Pain, Itching, Swelling. Reason?
Hi, I'm 20... I've had irregular periods since I was 11 and lately my I've been noticing some changes. I've always had discharge but lately it's been smelling kind of yeasty, it's clear and I do not have any problems with burning or itching. Surpisingly, my boyfriend claims he doesn't smell it but I do and to me it's pretty strong. Also, A few days ago I started getting a brownish discharge coming from what seems like my clitoris. It doesn't hurt and it's not red, itchy, swollen or noticeably smelly just brown. What do you think could be going on? Could my irregular periods prevent me from having kids in the future? Thanks.
Hello. Thanks for writing to us. The symptoms that you are having are likely to be due to a vaginal infection. There could be a superadded bacterial infection along with the yeast infection. Systemic antibiotics will help in diagnosis. I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you. Regards, Dr. Rakhi Tayal , drrakhitayal@gmail.com
