Is 100 Mg Progesterone The Right Medicine For Ovarian Cyst?

I hope so. I have/had an ovarian cyst at my last checkup in February. I go back to my doctor on Friday. My period started March 5, March 19, April 9, and April 23. I m taking 100mg progesterone every night, and have an estrogen patch. It feels like I have a grapefruit in my abdomen. Am I paranoid, or is it the cyst?

Hi,
An ovarian cyst cannot be felt as such unless it is larger in size and stretches surrounding tissues and/or is complicated. Your menstrual history suggests that you have hormonal imbalance. The dosage of medication is to be decided by the attending doctor and with regular monitoring. Also the type of approach to the management, conservative or radical, is dependent on the size, function and associated complications of the cyst. Please maintain a healthy weight and a healthy diet. Take care.
