Is 116 A Normal Level Of Blood Sugar Or Prediabetic?

I did a blood sugar fast this mornin and I was sitting at 116. I dont have diabetes. But ive been super light headed and very dizzy lately.. it gets better after I eat. I was wondering if that is a normal level or prediabetes? It runs heavy on both sides on my family.

Hello,
Welcome to HCM
Only one reading of 116 doesn't mean that you are prediabetic.Since you have not mentioned your age,its quite difficult to tell about sugar levels.
However 116 is within normal limits. No need to worry.
But as you have told that both sides of your family have diabetes, there is 50% chances of you becoming diabetic in your lifetime.
Take good measures to avoid or atleast delay it by regular exercises and balanced diet.
Hope you are happy with the answer.
Thank you
