Is Adderall Used In The Treatment Of ADHD?

I m 65 and I had breast cancer about 12 years ago. I have been diagnosed with chemo brain a form of dimentia. I am on Namenda and it helps but not enough to help in my job as an accountant. I took an Adderall from a friend and it was like removing a film from my brain. How can I get this medication? I don t know if I have ADD or ADHD.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Stimulant therapy is often used to treat ADHD. Brand-name stimulant medications include Adderall.
Stimulants work by increasing the level of dopamine in your brain.
So,you can use Adderall for ADHD.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
