Is Amlodac Safe To Continue After Regularizing BP Levels?

My father aged 70 at now. In 2002 my father was suffered from high bp. Doctor advised to take amlodac 5mg daily. Now, since last few days my father having low bp I.e. 60/115 approx. Is it safe to continue the same medicine amlodac5 or not? No debit or credit card neither net banking. How I pay? My email is. YYYY@YYYY Please advice me. Thanks

Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.
Amlodac contains 'Amlodipine' as active ingredient. It is used to treat high blood pressure. Once the blood pressure is reduced to normal and is under control, this medications needs to be continued to maintain the same. In case it is stopped abruptly, it may cause adverse effect in the form of rebound hypertension, which can be life- threatening.
Kindly continue to take the medication as advised without stopping the same for any form of reason.
