Is Amoxicillin Advisable For Productive Cough?
I have what started out as allergies and is now into my lungs. I am coughing and now have been spitting up mucus for 2 days(real dark yesterday, but today it is lightening up). No fever. We live 70 miles from our Dr. and wondered if I should go in to see him? I have 8 amoxicillin pills (500mg) and I have taken only one today. Didn t know if that antibiotic would do any good or not. Have had the flu shot. Thanks

I really appreciate your concern, if this is the allergic condition then antibiotic will not work here instead this you have to go for antihistamine and best would be Tab Loratadine with pseudoephedrine three times in day, have some hot drinks, try steam inhalation too hope this information helps.
