Is Amoxicillin Followed By Cefalexin Advisable For Respiratory Infection?

I am in I am in China, where I have been prescribed 3 days amoxicillin followed by 3 days cefalexin for a severe respiratory infection. In the UK I would have expected just 5 days of amoxicillin. Are both treatments equally effective ? I am an otherwise healthy 64 year old, 85kg, an infrequent visitor to my own doctor, who is well aware of the need to avoid antibiotic over-use ...

it depends on treating doctor.if indicated it can be recomanded. both are effective. can take opinion of pulmunologist.
