Hi,

Apri birth control pills have side effects like nausea, vomiting, cramping and bloating, irregular periods, fatigue, mood swings and especially headaches due to the hormonal combination in the pill. These symptoms will settle down in few weeks - months. If the symptoms are recurring, consult your doctor for low-dose pills.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Yogapriya Vasudevan, General & Family Physician
