Is Atarax Advisable For Severe Rashes On Body Of An Infant?

Dear doctor, good morning. I am mother of 2 month old babies. They are on formula feed. They cry at night because of pain I suppose. I give colonic aid sorry. Colimex 6 drops and one of my baby has severe rash on his body and was suggested atarax. Pls suggest if it is safe. Website information says otherwise

Thanks for contacting HCM with your health care concerns. Your 2 month old child has a rash and you have been recommended giving him/her atarax. The usual dose for a child less than 6 months old is 2mg/kg/day divided every 6-8 hours. Your child may become sleepy with the medication which is normal
