Is Augmentin And Amoxicillin Same Compound?

I started taking amoxicillin today. 6 hours later my hands was itching. I took over the counter benDaryl. And it has helped the itching. Should I take some more in 4 hrs if the itching is still there. Is augmentin and amoxicillin same compound? Thank you

No. In general these two are different entity.
AUGMENTIN is a combination penicillin-class antibacterial (amoxicillin) and beta‑lactamase inhibitor (clavulanate potassium) to treat severe infections and to overcome a resistance develops.
There may be a mild hypersensitivity reaction leading to itching over limbs.
Take some anticholinergic instead of Bendaryl, like Levo-cetrizine-OD.
