Is BP Of 105/64 Normal?

Hi, I just took by blood pressure and it is 105/64 with a heart rate of 80. I was just on the computer so nothing stressful or active. Just wondering if this is considered normal I am a 47 yr old female. I sometimes feel like my heart is skipping beats but this comes and goes and does not happen every day though it did today. Thanks in advance for your answer. Judy

Hi,

A blood pressure reading of 105/64 mmHg is generally considered to be within the normal range for adults. However, it's important to keep in mind that everyone's blood pressure can vary throughout the day and in different situations.

A blood pressure reading of 120/80 mmHg is considered to be the ideal range for most adults, but blood pressure readings between 90/60 mmHg and 140/90 mmHg can also be considered normal. Your heart rate of 80 beats per minute is also within the normal range for adults.

Feeling like your heart is skipping beats can be concerning, but it's important to note that this can be a normal occurrence for some people. However, if you are experiencing other symptoms such as dizziness, chest pain, or shortness of breath, it's important to speak with your healthcare provider to rule out any underlying heart conditions.

Overall, a blood pressure reading of 105/64 mmHg is generally considered to be normal, but it's always a good idea to monitor your blood pressure regularly and speak with your healthcare provider if you have any concerns or symptoms.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Priyanka, General & Family Physician
