Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My husbands BP is 164/90 heart rate is 59. He took a Timolol at 6PM today. Concerned about the 74 point difference between top & bottom number especially if he takes more. He suffers from Chronic daily migraines. His headache level, he says is an 11 on a 0-10 scale. He takes four 10/325 percocet per day. He took half a pill at 8PM & the second half at 10PM. Hoping that will help lower his BP. Concerned that additional Timolol could cause heart rate problems or worse.
The symptoms of your husband seem to be related to high blood pressure. I suggest doing regular measures of the blood pressure for at least a week. I also recommend consulting a cardiologist for further evaluation and specific treatment.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
