Is Babygesic Effective For Fever In Children?

Hi , my son is 3 weeks old now and having fever from last 4-5 days but the fever doesn t last for the entire day , I have taken him to GP and he has advised for babygesic 6 drops thrice in a day . Once we gave him the medicine the fever goes but again comes in night for 2-3 hours then vanished . Actually I and my wife was suffering from cold and fever and I doubt it has been passed through .Can u please guide whether we should continue with babygesic or change it .

I really appreciate your concern, if you have not read the temperature then it is important to read it, if this is above 100 F then blood work would be necessary because after 4 to 5 days of febrile condition we can not take it as granted, blood born infection need to be ruled out, till then for high grade fever antipyretic can be given, take care for hydration, this is very important, hope this information helps, take care.
