Is Bentyl Effective In The Treatment Of Irritable Bowel Syndrome?

i use to take Donnatal and Donnatal Extenta B...Havent been on it for a long time... I was also on Phenobarb and now i have fobromyalgia... i have colon, esophgetus and muscle problems... Donnatal use to take all that away but i hear its off the market starting to have nervous and bowel problems again.... is Bentyl the next alternative and what does it do for treatment... pharmacist says its anti spasmatic and webmd only says its for the colon...what is it for?
