Is C-section The Only Option When Diagnosed With Posterior Placenta?

I am in the 38 week of pregnancy and my placenta is in posterior segment. Due to this my doctor advices for c-section .is there any chances of having normal delivery.also I have aminotic fluid level 3. Currently I am drinking daily 5packs of argipreg. Will this help me to have normal delivery in next two weeks

Hi,

The placenta is attached to the front wall of the uterus called as the anterior placenta or the back wall of the uterus called the posterior placenta. So a posterior placenta is no cause of worry and you can definitely go ahead with normal vaginal delivery with a posterior placenta. Moreover, the posterior placenta is considered to be the best for the baby as it allows the baby to grow and descend to the right position and align in the birth canal for a vaginal birth.
