Is CT Scan Recommended Post Neck Injury ?

When having a neck injury from a car high speed car crash t bone ,is it normal standard care to just do x-rays and if the xray say no fracture visualized but if persistent cliniical concern for acute traumatic cevical spine injury CT is recommended and never performed yet sent to Physical therapy for neck malipulations and mechanical traction.

Hi, thanks for your query.
It's always better to do ct scan of neck in these type of injuries. CT scan can give us fine details of the injury to ligaments and bones . I woukd suggest you do consult with the doctor and discuss my view with him and get evaluated. Continue physical therapy. Hope my answers have helped you. Thanks.
