Is Cefolac Syrup Advisable For Severe Vomiting And Loose Stools In A Child?
Hi doctor, My baby is 2 years old.. suffering from frequent vomitings. We have given her domstal drops, ondem drops, but she is continuously vomiting since yesterday. She has taken 180 ml milk in the entire day. Which she has vomited. And since last light she has loose stools. Today doctor has suggested Cefolac syrup. Will it help?

I have gone through your query. Your kid's problem can be most likely gastroenteritis. Cefolac is an antibiotic cefixime. Initially this is not advised. First we can give ORS and zinc syrup. You can also give anti emetic syrups like ondansetron.
