Is Clarithromycin Safe To Take?

When did Clarithromycin come on the market? And is it a good antibiotic? I am taking it and Amoxicillian for a bacteria that can cause Acid Reflux. Is it common to take two antibiotics at once? I m also taking prevacid. Has Clarithromycin been around for a lot of years? I hope so. I generally trust meds that have been around for a long, long time. Do you know what year it came out?
