Is Clarithromycin The Right Medicine For Cold And Cough?
I have been sick with a bad cold since a week ago last sunday. Coughing up lots of phlegm of varying colors. I have no fever, however, my Doctor put me on Clarirythromycin yesterday. i have taken 4 dosages with no change in symptoms. I have taken the pneumonia vaccine o few years ago. I am beside myself because my cold is not improving. I constantly, sneeze and cough with no cold relief. I am taking symbicourt 160, as well as all the common over the counter medications, none of which are working.
Hi Thanks for the query to H C M . Clarithromycin is an antibiotics , while symbocort is a steroid . When such patient visit to my clinic I advise them to take some bronchodilator . All these symptoms are an indication that you are having some sort of allergy which develops sneezing and recurrent cold ( as you are having ). Steam inhalation will also provide you instant relief. Hope this will help you.
