Is Clobetasol And Cortisone Safe To Be Used For Scalp Itchiness And White Spots?
Scalp itching for years. Dermatologists have tried creams, lotions, shampoos etc. Nothing works. When wash head, feels good for a few hours, then dries and about 1 inch in diameter and very dry white spots appear, scaly and very itchy. Latest trip to doc trying Clobetasol Proionate, and zink shampoo. so, I have shaved my hair off. Now we can see the spots. I have tried cortisone creams.

According to your complaints you seem to be having seborrhoeic dermatitis.
Use ketoconazole shampoo twice weekly and apply steroid like cortisone cream or clobetasol cream on the affected areas twice daily.
Also take antifungal like capsule itraconazole 100 mg twice daily for 7-10 days.
