Is Clotrimazole Insert Safe During Pregnancy?

Hi, I am six months pregnant (second trimester) and: 1, I happen to have recurrent yeast infection. However i use the Clotrimazole inserts for 6 or 3days any time i get the infection, how safe are they during pregnancy?. 2, I finished the last insert yesterday night but i still have discharge and a little of itchiness. i also have small bruises along the vaginal robes. when do i expect all these to clear?

Hi welcome to the health care magic

You are having vaginal yeast infection and you are pregnant

Topical clotrimazole cream can be used for treating this condition for 7 days

But before starting any treatment consult gynecologist for your per speculum examination

If needed gynecologist will investigate further with taking vaginal swab and send it for culture

According to culture then specific treatment given

Take care

Hope your concern solved
