Is Cognix Plus A Safe Drug For Hearing Problem?

hi doc...can u pls tell me if Cognix plus a safe drug for my 32 yr old husband who is having some hearing issue in his right ear for over 3 months now?? the ENT has also prescribed Renerve plus, Complamina retarda, Ecosprin -75 and Nuerobion Forte.

thanks for writing to HCM,
Your husband seems to have nerve deafness.
For nerve deafness first line of action is to get done some tests of hearing like pure tone audiometry, impedance audiometry , SISI, Tone decay etc to see for the cause of it. Radiological test like MRI scan of head is also done.blood tests to rule out diabetes, thyroid disorders and blood pressure measurement is also done.
Then first the treatment is started on steroids .That must have been given already.
The treatment now given is good enough to give nerve enhancers ie cognitive enhancers and to increase the blood supply to the nerve.This treatment can be continued. Cognix plus is a very good medicine for hearing loss and will also decrease ringing in the ears and dizziness problem if its there , so can be used .
