Is Crocin A Stronger Medication For Fever Than Paracetamol-ratiopharm?

Hi, my daughter has cough and fever for last two days and the doctor has given Paracetamol ratiopharm 40 mg/ml with a cough syrup (She said its just a viral infection so no antibiotic). But the fever has not gone down at all. I also have crocin suspension DS with me at home. Shall i give that for fever instead of Paracetamol?

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Crocin ds is the trade name of paracetamol. Paracetamol can be marketed under different names, it depends on the company producing it.

This means that since it is the same medication, it would have essentially the effect as the paracetamol she is currently using.

You may want to ask her doctor if she can use children's ibuprofen.

I hope this helps
