Is D And C Recommended Post Abortion?

hi.i m 27yrs old,,i had medical abortion 1 month ago,i guess i passed my pregnancy products..but now i hav done tv scan and the impression is endometrium 7mm,heterogenous and shows vascularity- s/o retained products of conception n i hav started my regular periods now and passing sum small clots...do i need d and c..my doctor told to wait for 10 days to repeat scan

You have not mentioned age of gestation means pregnancy when terminated....

Here you are having incomplete abortion....

So yes dilatation and curratage done for complete evacuation of products of conception....

If it is not done chances of infection is high...
And because if infection some serious consequences can occur....

So consult gynecologist for proper gynecological examination and subsequent removal of products of conception by d & c procedure ....
