Is D&C Advisable To Treat Thickened Endometrium In An Elderly Women?

I m a 64 year old woman with a thickened endometrial wall of 10? I m not certain if that is mm or what exactly. They also found a polyp approx. 5 mm . I m also experiencing a slight discharge that is brown in color, but it s not always brown. The DR. is recommending that I get a Hysteroscopy with a possible DNC, but do you think a DNC is necessary? My concern is that my heart rate is around 50 BPM and sometimes drops below 45. I would have to get General Anesthesia which could drop the heart rate lower. HELP! Any suggestions?

Hello,

D&C can be done under sedation without the need of general anesthesia.

We have to rule out possible causes like uterine cancer.
