Is Delcar Forte Advisable For Swelling Between Groin And Ankle?

My right gets swollen in sitting or standing position, from groin to ankle. The swelling reduces a bit after getting up in the morning from sleep. I have been advised to take Delcar Forte tablets twice a day for three weeks for relief. Can you please advise that this is the right medicine?

Hi,

Yes, it is the right medicine for your problem. Based on the history you seem to have lymphatic filariasis. It is a parasitic disease transmitted by mosquito bites and the parasites actually block the lymphatic system that leads to the lymphedema (swelling of the limbs). Delcar Forte is a medicine commonly prescribed for prevention and treatment of worm infections such as lymphatic filariasis. It is quite effective and well tolerated and hence continue to take it as prescribed.
