Is Diane ED A Safe Contraceptive Pill?

Hi I am currently taking triquiler ed which is an oral contraceptive and I've been prescribed diane ed to clear my skin as I've started breaking out all month through not just before my period any-more. How good is Diane ed? My periods are regular it's just my skin and I'm 37 years old. I'm also worried about melasma. Can some pills worsen it than others or are they all roughly the same as they all have the same type of oestrogen in them is that correct.
