General & Family Physician 's  Response
Uncontrolled diabetes causes weakness. Certain complications of diabetes cause also weakness. Both diabetes-related kidney disease (nephropathy) and nerve damage (neuropathy) can contribute to the development of weakness. People with diabetes can also have weakness as a result of not eating well or due to anemia. Normally, the kidneys secrete a hormone called erythropoietin, which stimulates the bone marrow to produce red blood cells. In diabetic nephropathy, the amount of erythropoietin produced by the kidneys is reduced, leading to anemia.
Diavit is a mineral & vitamin supplement. You can take it. It is safer.
Advice
1.     Take regular treatment of diabetes as suggested by your doctor
2.     Capsule Diavit plus – 1 capsule daily orally for 3 months
3.     Monitor your blood sugar regularly
4.     Investigations
a.     Hb%
b.     lipid profile
c.     serum creatinine
Thanks
