Is Duphaston Effective In Helping Get Pregnant?

hy. i m 24years old..i have my periods on 22august.. in 22 september i had no periods. so i take blood test in 30sep its negative.. i visit gyno he advised me to take duphaston twice a day for 5 days. i m also take folic acid 800mcg... so there is a chances of getting positive result ?

Hello dear
I understand your concern
Duphaston contain progesterone and help to induce the period but doses not cause increase in chance of the pregnancy.
But it help in maintaining the pregnancy once you become pregnancy.
It make the uterine environment favorable for the pregnancy.
But if you are not pregnant then it does not cause positive pregnancy test.
Your doctor you provided mostly to induce the period if you are not pregnant and if pregnancy is there then to maintain the pregnancy.
