Is Duphaston Effective In The Treatment Of Irregular Periods?

Hi, I am 28 yrs old, 5 3 in height and weighs 65kgs. I used to have regular menstruation but then I stopped using control pills. I also had weight loss and weight gain in the span of two months. Now, I missed my period for this specific time. I already had PT and it is negative. Can you please suggest what should I take? Is Duphaston prescribed? What dosage? Appreciate your response. Thank you so much.

Hi I think you can take duphaston 10 mg twice a day for 7 days for periods to come. It can happen due to some stress factor also. But if it happens again or frequently, get a thyroid profile and prolactin level and a ultrasound done to see uterus and ovaries to find out the cause of irregular periods. Hope it helps.
