Is ESR Value Of 98 A Cause For Concern?

Hi Dr My mom test shows high esr 98 and he left ankle is in pain and rad. She is 59 year old plz help out how to control her esr as she when ever takes pils for that she get pain in stomach and acidity and vomit. I will be waiting for your reply Best regards

ESR is a non specific inflammatory marker, this means that it increases when there is any inflammation in the body but cannot specify the site or nature of the inflammation.

It can go up with infection, allergies, cancer.

98 is a very high value and her doctors would need to do additional tests to find the exact source.
