Is Ecosprin The Right Treatment When Having High Triglycerides Levels?
Hello doctor, I had giddiness for almost 2-3 days then I visited a GP he suggested me routine blood tests and everything came normal, other than my tryclercides are very high around 440 so he has put me on Rosuvas -F 10 and ecosprin 75 mg.I go everyday to gym and go yoga and basically very active person. Is the right treatment going forward ?
I read your question carefully and I understand your concern.
Rosuvastatin is a good drug to control your lipid levels. However if your cholesterol levels are normal, rather than use Rosuvas which is more oriented towards cholesterol then trigliceride levels, you could use a drug of the fibrate class which are effective in lowering triglicerides. If cholesterol is high as well than treating it is more important as it's more directly related to blood vessel issues. Ecosprin is a blood thinner, it doesn't affect triglicerides, but it is a good drug to prevent blood vessel occlusion (which in turn is favoured by prolonged high blood lipid values).
Wishing you good health.
