Is Epilim Cr 200 Mg The Right Medicine For Soreness In The Mouth And Tongue?

I have a sore mouth and tongue. SORE MOUTH SYMTOMS. Tongue is sore for about 3months, more in the afternoon afther breakfast or lunch. In the beginning it feel like a toothpain. I was at a Gp. Dentist. A ear,nose and troat spesialis. And a Ortodontist. Yesterday my gp give me EpilimCR200mg. I read it is for Epilepsy. Will it help??? I feel like a test train. I am a woman and 59 years

Hi,

Yes, Epilim CR-200 can be effective for painful neuralgias. Based on the history you seem to be suffering from a painful nerve condition called trigeminal neuralgia, for which your GP prescribed Epilium CR-200 is primarily used in the treatment of generalized, partial or other types of epilepsy.

It is also found to be effective in the treatment of trigeminal neuralgia.

However, had I been your treating doctor I would have advised carbamazepine or oxcarbazepine to control the symptoms of trigeminal neuralgia which are actually the first line of treatment.
