Hi dear, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns. Spotting in early pregnancy can be due to threatened abortion, subchorionic haemorrhage orsome lesions in cervix or vagina. First ultrasound should be done to confirm the cause and then the treatment should be taken. Ethamsylate is not advisable to take in pregnancy, however injection maintaine is progesterone which is given to make the uterine environment more favourable For the fetus. It can be taken without any risk. Hope you found the answer helpful. Wishing you good health. Dr Deepti Verma
