Is Exforge Act The Right Medicine For High Blood Pressure?

My blood pressure has suddenly and inexpectidly to 200/100..never ever before any higher than 160...but regularly around 130...I was previously on ATACAN...my doctor has immediately prescribed EXFORGE ACT yesterday..how quick can this medication reduce the blood pressure ???? thank you !!

Hi,

You are having severe hypertension. So more than one medicine will be necessary for controlling it. Exforge HCT contains Amlodipine, Valsartan and hydrochlorothiazide (3 drug combination) which is very effective in controlling your high blood pressure. Usually it will get controlled well in one week time.
