Is Flagyl Commonly Used For Yeast Infection?

Hi! I was treated for a yeast infection on mon with diflucan and gynazole 1. On wed was told to take another diflucan. On Friday I still had symptoms. Doc then put me on flagyl for 7 days with clotrimazole cream.... Since I ve had a lot of sweets recently he said that s what caused my yeast. Is flagyl commonly used for yeast?

Hi,
Flagyl is not used for yeast infection but used for amebic infection and many a time for anaerobic mixed infection with yeast infection.
There is no problem using this medicine along with Diflucan.
