Is Flagyl Effective In The Treatment Of Diarrhea?
i am using senna laxative since long time . now a days i am suffering from loose motion in few quantity so many time in a day, my doctor advised to take FLAGYL-400 twice daily . should i take ? O.P. srivastava, Varanasi

Flagyl will help diarrhea if the diarrhea was caused by the parasite Flagyl is designed to treat. If diarrhea persists after the course of treatment then return to the doctor for a re-evaluation.
I am not sure why this was prescribed after a dose of senna induced loose motion. It is designed to kill parasites that cause diarrhea.
If you are nervous about this diagnosis and treatment suggest you seek a second opinion.
