Is Gabapentin Usage Advisable When Diagnosed With A Varicose Vein?

My husband had varicose Vein stripping a week ago. He is continuing to bleed and is in pain. The doctor prescribed gabapentin 100 mg. This medication is used for seizures and neuropathy. The side effect warnings are frightening.
The advise for the bleeding was not to remove the bandaide. I have a call into them about that because it is bleeding through the baindaide. I would like to have information about this medication so I can inquire about both concerns. Thank-you Bonnie
