Is Glucomet 500 Mg The Correct Prescription For Diabetes?

I am regularly taking Metformin 500 Mg twice a day for my diabetes type 2 since last 6 years. I am UK resident and at present am in India whre I am told to take Glucomet 500 mg instead oif Metformin 500mg which I have run out of stock . I sthis a correct replacement ?
