MY MOM IS SUFFERING FROM DIABETES LAST 3 YEARS . GLUCOSE LEVEL FASTING 126 PP 180. DR HAS GIVEN HER GLYCINORM M30 OD HALF TAB ONCE DAILY. IS IT THE RIGHT MEDICINE FOR HER? NOW SHE IS TAKEN OTHER MEDICINE LIKE STARPRESS XL 50 , RAMISTAR 5, RANCAD 500, ETILAAM S .5 MG. HER CHOLESTEROL 150. ECHO CARDIOGRAPHY IS NORMAL LIMIT ECG IS ALSO NORMAL. SHOULD SHE TAKE THOSE MEDICINE? PLEASE ANSWER

Yes she needs to continue the medications .Diabetes causes abnormalities at cellular and molecular level . Using these medicines along with good sugar control will prevent /delay the complications of long standing diabetes.
