Is HCG Level Of 90,0 8 Days After Abortion Normal?
Hi .. I had a natural miscarriage 12 days ago .. I was 7 weeks pregnant . I passed the sac the first day and had heavy bleeding for 4 days and light for another 5 .. my hcg went down from 5000 to 900 in the first 5 days but now 8 days later is still at 900 .. is this normal?
Understand your concern HCG come back to normal level after 4-6 week of miscarriage. Get back to normal in surgical abortion. But you have natural miscarriage so some part of placenta may be there in the uterus that still secret the HCG and thats why HCG is slight high in your case. I advice you to consult the gynecologist and get the USG done to confirm the some retain bit of placenta or conception. If it is there it should be removed by curettage as it increase risk of infection. If no retain placental bit has been found, your HCG level come back to normal with in 4-5 weeks.
