Is HPT Result Conclusive?

My gf have tested 2-3 times for pregnancy using urinal test devices and it have shown negative. But she s still not sure. Do we need to go through blood test to confirm it?? Or even blood tests are not 100% accurate? Need your advice. It s over one month since that intercourse.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Home pregnancy tests would normally be positive about 2 weeks after conception. After 1 month it would be very rare for someone to be pregnant and still have a negative urine pregnancy test, so I would take this as confirmation that she is not pregnant.

Blood tests can detect pregnancy sooner than urine pregnancy tests, but the accuracy would be similar, over 99% accurate.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
