Hi, This is confidential, correct? Is haldol typically administered for bipolar disorder? why would a psychiatrist prescribe this drug in combination with depakote (sp) and con-something or other to counter effect haldol side effects? thanks Do not share this email address

I can understand your concern.
Haldol is having Haloperidol.
It is used for psychosis, not for bi polar mood disorder.
So psychiatrist might be feeling that patient is having more of psychosis than mood disorder so prescribed Haldol.
Depakote is also used for psychosis.
