Is Haldol Advisable For Schizoaffective Disorder?

My son was put on Haldol, he suffers from schizoaffective disorder. Is this a good medicine? He is taking 10mg in the morning and 10 in the evening, along with depeko and benedryl? He sleeps too many hours , his hands shake and can t do any excercises.

Haloperidol is a antipsychotic drug and is known to cause athetosis (involuntary movements of limbs) and it goes in few weeks once drug is stopped.
