Is HbA1c Level Of 6.5 A Cause For Concern?

I have had abdominal cramps and diarrhea for over 3 weeks now. I attributed it to the Metformin ER, 500 mg that I take (3 per day). Last week, I decreased the dose to 2 daily, increased the amount of fiber I take. I also tried adding a probiotic, but the symptoms grew much worse, so I stopped that. I have tried controlling the symptoms with Imodium and Pepto, but no luck. Any suggestions? My last HbA1c was 6.5.

Hba1c shows the level of glucosidised hemoglobine and indicates the blood glucose level in past 2-3 months. This Hba1c shows a good control of glucose levels in past 2-3 months. Take it metformine as usual.
