Is Hydro Seal Or Butterfly Band Aid Effective In The Treatment Of A Skin Cut?

So about 5 days ago i happened to fall and my arm hit the edge of this railing and my skin split about a half an inch vertically, almost like a little eye. Its located near the bottom left crease of my eblow, and it was a little wide but not major. When it happened it was late and i did not have any butterfly bandages so i went to the store and all they had were these hydro seal gel healing bandages. I have been cleaning it every day and i can see its getting better, but i can tell i could pull the skin together if i wanted too. So basically i want to know if i should let them heal with the hydroseal badages, or should i buy butterfly bandages and try to seal it? Im just not sure, im not worried about scars but i want it to heal right. Thanks for your time

Yes, they may heal but it may apply to non moving surfaces like soft tissue or freshly lacerated wound with clear edge's. Apply wound is less than 2 inches then only it is useful. if size of the laceration more need to apply more bands. If you treat a cut with a butterfly bandage, leave the bandage on until it peels off on its own. It can take up to 10 to 14 days for the wound to heal. If it is hairy surface better to undergo stitches. please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.
