Is Hydrochlorothiazide Advisable Over Lisinopril For High BP?

Hi, Thanks for making yourself available. My doctor is recommending I start taking bp medication. His recommendation is for one of these... Hydrochlorothiazide or Lisinopril. I m interested in the side affects. Not very excited with what I m reading so far. Any thoughts?

HI, thanks for using using healthcare magic

It is understandable to be concerned regarding any potential side effects of any medications but if you continue to take a look at these effects, you would see that they occur in the minority not majority of persons.

This means that while these effects may not occur with either of these medications, complications of high blood pressure would definitely occur if it is not effectively treated.

If you do take the medication and have any problems , your doctor can switch to one that works better for you.

I hope this helps
