Will hydrogen peroxide hurt a ruptured eardrum? A glass bottle made impact to my temple and right ear. Immediately, I took notice that my hearing significantly depleted in my right ear. I am living day two, or the next day, after this incident. I STRONGLY feel that my eardrum did perforate. I put one treatment of 3% hydrogen peroxide in my ear this morning (Thur, 4.14.2016) Bubbling did occur, so I know infection is possibly existential. I wished to discover whether or not the peroxide s help here is benefitial, or harmful ( eardrum-killing, so to speak). I d hate to damage my eardrum causing a life-long afflicted ear which would never again possess my ear s normal hearing ability. I already hate that the muffled hearing is here to stick by for the next potential 3 months anyhow. But in the end, will these [to be] regular hydrogen peroxide treatments help to heal my perforated eardrum enigma or cause it to prevent the healing of which I search? I know how chemical compounds may, at times, oppose my wished ear rejuvination; whereas, infection of the plighted eardrum would simply remain far too damaged beyond any self reparations, vulnerably, later leading to a lack of eardrum. I do not feel that I have made it to this point, but I do want to keep from ever having to venture down this avenue, you know? I thank you so, so, SO very much for listening about my ear issue! I know that I ll gracefully follow along with your guidence and medical expertise. Thank you ever so much, Ty Lancaster
