Is Hydroxyurea The Cause For Difficulty In Breathing?

have been taking hydroxurea for about six months for leukemia and I have trouble breathing sometimes and the pulmonologist says a lower sac in my lung has shrunk and if I was younger I would be elegible for a lung for a lung transplant. I am 83. Would this medication be a factor?

See, it is age related plus acquired restrictive pulmonary disease.

You can try to inflate balloons, it will help to increase pulmonary inflation and you will get relief from the symptoms you are having.
